Job Description:
The Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of the child care center, including, but not limited to: • Creating a safe, healthy, structured and nurturing environment • Overseeing the supervision and program planning for the children • Administrative paperwork • Being a liaison between staff and Home Office • Enrolling children • Collecting tuition • Communicating with parents • Hiring, coaching, supervising and communicating with staff • Supporting the growth and continuation of the Therapeutic Child Care Services (TCCS) program • Budgeting and ordering food and equipment • Overseeing of the cleanliness, organization and maintenance of the center • Overseeing implementation of curriculum/assessment • Attending meetings as well as conducting meetings • Overseeing of the process and continuation of the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program, accreditation and other quality initiatives • Working with the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) on a continual basis to uphold licensing regulations including notifying and cooperating with DCYF during CPS investigations • Assuming responsibility of the center and program during a Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation; if a CPS investigation occurs in the center, the Administrator is responsible and may be founded by CPS • Other duties may be assigned as necessary • Help to supervise and interact with children to facilitate their play and learning • Help prepare activities • Oversee the serving of meals to the children • Oversee the point of service meal counts (Food Tally Sheets)
Experience Required:
Educational Requirements • Bachelor’s degree required • 18/60 college credits in a field relating to Education, Child Development, Human Services, Recreation or related field • Must participate in early childhood staff development program • CPR/First Aid certification preferred Experience Requirements • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with children in a child care/early learning center • Administration, finance and/or business management experience required • Strong communication skills • Positive team player • Computer proficient
